ABOUT THIS TOUR
Your day begins with complimentary pick up at your resort. Enjoy the incredible views as we make our way to the Williams train depot.

Next, we will board the historic, century-old Grand Canyon Railway. Be entertained by cowboy characters and enjoy the tunes of strolling musicians as train travel from the early 1900s is recreated during the scenic 65-mile journey to the canyon. The train offers wonderful views of the San Francisco Peaks and rolls through valleys filled in wild flowers, dense pine forests, high desert plains and small canyons. Grand Canyon Railway is still one of the best ways left to experience the old west. The train arrives just steps from the Grand Canyon's South Rim.
You will have free time to shop, dine or just take in the incredible canyon views. Then your Guide will meet you in the touring van and take you to the East Rim to a few more great lookouts. As we drive out the East exit we will drive along the Little Colorado River Gorge into the Navajo Nation. Here we will stop at the Historic Cameron Trading Post before returning to your resort. You will have the opportunity to browse the Native American artwork and shop for souvenirs. A great day in the west!

*Please note that you do not see the Grand Canyon from the train. You will see the Grand Canyon after you arrive at the South Rim.

What our Guests have to say about this Tour...
- Jenn S.
"We absolutely loved the tour with Andrea as our driver and guide. We all agreed she was by far the best tour guide we've ever had. She was knowledgeable and informative, without being annoying the way some guides can be, and had a very nice, casual and friendly manner. I add also that Great West Tours [part of the Arizona Travel and Tour Group] are fantastic. We had booked the Grand Canyon tour and train ride, but that morning our daughter came down sick, and my wife was going to do the tour alone rather than lose the deposit etc. [They] very kindly allowed us to reschedule for the following day and changed the train reservations and everything. The tour was great and I highly recommend the train ride in the first-class dome carriage at least one-way, if not return. Andrea dropped us off at the station in Williams, which is very interesting with a little cowboy theatrical performance. The history of the railroad is interesting as are the carriages. There are refreshments and drinks on the train and some cowboy entertainment. We enjoyed the scenery from the train and felt very privileged to see a herd of wild horses. The last part of the train ride into the canyons is very scenic. Andrea met us at the station at the Grand Canyon and shuttled us in the tour van to the restaurant and lookout, where we rejoined the other members of the tour who didn't book the train ride. We had lunch and Andrea drove us through the park stopping at all the vistas and vantage points, for photos ops etc. We felt we had thoroughly "done" the Grand Canyon by the end of the day. We then drove to the Navajo tourist trading post, where we had 30 minutes to shop for Navajo arts and crafts. Andrea then returned us, dropping off guests in Flagstaff and then the rest of us in Sedona. It was a long day, but very much worth it, very much enjoyable with Andrea, and we can cross the Grand Canyon off our bucket list. Thank you Great West Tours and Andrea for a fantastic and memorable day."

"Spectacular! We had a wonderful time with Andrea. We had never been to the Grand Canyon - truly spectacular. Andrea took us to 4 or 5 stops and had great knowledge of the canyon and the areas along the trip. Lunch was lovely. Really enjoyed having the flexibility to stop at many places on our own pace. She also had great local recommendations in Sedona."
